Description
My first serious attempt on Realflow. It took almost two days to calculate the particles.
Generating mesh: about one day.
Tweaking animation and rendering (original:640x480): Almost 4 days.
That's almost a whole week!!
My machine was glowing in the dark after that...

But doesn't it look cool?
rendered with Cinema4D.

That's awesome, for sure. Question though, why does the projectile speed up AFTER going through the bubble? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

Yeah, it speeds up slightly
Actually the movement of the projectile is two sequences. before and after collision. I realized it, when I saw the animation rendered. Sadly, a little bit too late

Yikes, a week of rendering?! Guess computer physics have a long way to go.
Still, worth the wait, it looks pretty convincing. Took a look at some of your other renders, too- Disturbed Hierarchy is mesmerizing... in that Hypnotoad way...

Oh I love Hypnotoad! Thank you
My actual system is almost 10 times faster. ItΒ΄s already been quite a while since I created the drop.

You have done an exemplary job in adding in all of the detail. I am almost stunned at how intricate and detailed the animation is. It flows as smoothly and gently as the water materials that its made of. Truly art in motion. Excellent work.

Thank you.
I am genuinely impressed by how well the entire thing is animated. With skills like yours, there's no telling exactly how far you can go. I really cannot wait to see more pieces from you. Keep up the stellar work.

Yeah!!!! ItΒ΄s reeaaaaally cool! I was almost thinking about trying something like that, but 1 week would be impossible since my machine is not that goog for that kind of work.

what ever ur ballistic is(kinda looks like the liquid stuff), i think it should also "splatter" like the bubble did but still going the same direction kinda like a shotgun effect
^~^ awesome looking tho, took me a while to figure out it was digitally made
i was actually wondering how in the world u managed to suspend a bubble of liquid in midair while shooting it

the only flow is the reflection just before the impact happens. It's as if a reflection layer was taken off or something. Apart from that , I totally thought it was a high speed recording , so GG for that , keep it up !

Thank you for your comment! Glad you like it
Watch it frame by frame with quicktime. Then you see what makes the reflection change. ItΒ΄s the air bubbles in the liquid caused by the inpact

Hey no prob ^^ well deserved attention.
No I mean before the impact , about 2 frames before the impact.
