I did this piece as a Christmas present for my good pal Don Coscarelli ( director of Phantasm, Beastmaster, Bubba Ho-Tep etc.). This was fun getting to draw all the characters he has created in his films over the years. Makes me want to do a comic with all these guys.Related content

Being that I have a comic whom one of the characters is based on Angus Scrimm, I recognized him right away. then I saw all the other Coscarelli characters and thought: Cool! It turned out really good.

Instantly faved. And Tanya Roberts is in there- nice. I've actually been lucky enough to meet Coscarelli a couple times (at screenings of PHANTASM II and BUBBA HO-TEP), and he really is one of the world's nicest people. Hard to believe such a mild-mannered guy is behind those movies.
Oh yeah, and that rendition of Reggie the Ice Cream Man rules!
