The locals believe it leads to things beyond their comprehension, a small group of 4 tried to conquer the treacherous mountains where this anomaly lays, unknown forces doesn't allow electronic devices to work let alone vehicles.

Of that group of 4, one decided to leave seeing the monumental task at hand, two of them didn't make it and their corpses littered the heights for a time until they were found, the last one went missing no traces of his being have been found, believed to have made it to the anomaly.
