Description

Asmodeus or Asmoday is a well known demon and one of the rulers of Hell. He is a half succubus and considered the demon of lust. He is the 32nd spirit of the Ars Goetia.

Asmodeus is not fallen despite common belief that all Goetic demons are. His mother was the succubus matriarch Agrat. Origins in texts contradict some, association with the order of thrones at least offered a convenient way to distance the demon from other unfavorable associations. Deeper examination supports less angelic origins.

In Hell he runs numerous casinos and bordellos across the northeastern expanses. He's considered attractive and charismatic. Asmodeus often utilizes temptation and clever wit to his advantage. When summoned what can be expected is a high stakes game of wits over something of value. He is a demon that cannot be made to serve and no attempts should be made to do so. Asmodeus will forcibly change the dynamic of power at the first opportunity should the summoner attempt to.

Unlike common depictions that show him as monstrous or powerful I wanted a more suitable depiction that captures his attractive side. His power doesn't lay in being intimidating and a real monster doesn't need to look like one. Asmodeus really captures the sense of a sharp wit and tongue cutting down enemies more effectively than a blade.
