Description Based on an babirusa (a type of pig) and an elephant, bulusan mothers carry their young in a fluid filled dome on their backs.  This allows the baby to see where the mother travels and where she goes to look for food and water.  When their young leave the dome, they are much more self-reliant than other animals since they can learn in relative safety.  Bulusans would be semi-social foragers like pigs, with the herd size changing depending on the season.  When a mother is not pregnant, the dome becomes opaque and is used to store water which they need when migrating through the deserts to reach their next feeding area.  A male's dome is always opaque.
