I had actually drawn this quite awhile ago, so it's not really up to my current standards anymore, but I hadn't submitted it until now because I was originally planning to use it as part of the cover art for a Legend of Zelda X Kid Icarus crossover fanfic that I was working on but hadn't released yet. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be finding time to finish the said fanfic anytime soon, so it is currently canceled until further notice...

For those who may be wondering: the story would have been set in Hyrule sometime after the events of A Link to the Past. Ganon would have returned after having been revived by Hades and, with the aid of the latter's Underworld Forces fighting alongside the Demon King's own monsters, quickly captures Hyrule Castle by storm and imprisons Princess Zelda once again, this time with the intention of sacrificing her to Hades with her piece of the TriForce so that the evil Lord of the Underworld can then manifest in Hyrule. Link is absent at the time of the attack and cannot come to the rescue, as he is still detained with the events of Link's Awakening. Hylia would then intervene by calling upon Pit to come to her world and rescue Zelda from Ganon's clutches before the diabolic ritual could be complete, and the angelic hero would then go on to serve as the Princess's guardian as they begin their quest to regather Hyrule's forces to combat the Demon King and take back the kingdom. Link would eventually return around the midpoint of the story and join the battle, and Dark Pit would play a huge role as well.

...Like I said, though; I don't think I'll be finding time to work on this fanfic anytime soon, but if I ever do, I would love to revisit this idea.
