Your low angle makes the building seem huge and the person seem insignificant... Sure brings to mind the old mysterious mansions!
I think the black and white version has a stronger atmosphere than the coloured one.

This is so excellent! A brilliant picture.
I like it much, because it has a retro-effect on me... Don't know why... perhaps the big curtains, and the big windows... not to mention the long stairs... eh, but that's just me.
Very nice composition, and a very good contrast on the foreground/background. It has nice emotions which are given by the black&white shades. The curtain gives the effect of some blur... I think it's just me, but I like this!

Once again it is proven that high contrast mono is the king!
Changing that shot really brings a lot to it. The lighting looks much more defined, and the curtains are real soft and ethereal.
