Snowstorm today
I thought spring was coming! Ah well, this little foxie seems to be enjoying himself. I couldn't resist the thought of a red fox walking through a forest, paw deep in snow and calmly admiring the flakes falling around him. Unfortunately my scanner didn't pick up a lot of the detail in the snow on the ground, but I'll try and upload a better file later.A little bit of an experiment, both with background and medium. For this I used a base of watercolor and then acrylic on top to make things look more 'solid'. Let me know how it turned out, as I might try it again in the future =3

This is such a wonderful drawing. I love all the textures and detail in each and every brush stroke. And I love the shadows that makes it look so real. And it's such a cute little fox. And the background is beautiful too. And you made it take place in such a beautiful atmosphere. When the flakes of Winter make their way down one crisp Winter morning. And buried paw deep in powdered snow is a little red fox cub. At least that's what it looks like to me. But I really love this piece, and yes of course I can't resist but add it to my favourites. ^_^

Amazing. I love how the little guy/gal's brightly coloured fur contrast with the more subtle winter background. I always marvel at your skill with the traditional medium and this one is a show.

Awesome Job! I'v been studying a lot of landscape and it's so interesting to see how many different colors show up heavily in snow close up. Reds, blues, ect.... really interesting.
