An eldritch darkness is taking over the land like a parasite. The humans seek to reclaim the land, purifying what they can in their scouting missions, ultimately aiming to eradicate it all at the core. To protect itself, the eldritch consciousness uses mutated creatures to guard the territory, raising "Guardians" as ultimate soldiers.

The Black Bird(also referred to as "The Nemo") is a newer addition to the Guardians. He is dedicated to his duty, meeting intruders with force, much like the others. He doesn't know much about himself, following the eldritch consciousness unquestioningly.
One particular encounter left his mind spiraling. The small group of humans seemed to know him, calling him by a name he didn't recognize, and insisted he was... a friend?
He knew their words meant nothing, but still his body started hesitating and uninvited emotions invaded his chest.
He eventually let them live.

His mind begins to spiral from uncovering a past life. The eldritch consciousness wipes his mind, to which he accepted as a welcome mercy.
But the humans know their friend is out there and his mind will not remain untouched.
