So a few days ago I was feeling down-ish. Nothing major, but yeah. So to cheer myself up a bit, I sketched out something to fit under one of my favorite Derpibooru tags: Magical Lesbian Spawn. The unnamed spawn was designed on the spot and this whole drawing was rather quick and unpolished and there's something funky going on with Twilight's proportions that I didn't bother to fix. All in all, really quick, silly drawing.Also, I'd totally imagine Twilight having a meltdown if any kid of hers wanted to skip school.
Twilight: "My daughter, MY daughter doesn't want to learn?!? I'VE FAILED AS A MOTHER!!!."

Agreed. While I'm not big a shipper and I try to avoid choosing a best pony, I do really like Luna because she gets so little screen time, and she is often seen as almost aloof, cold and mysterious as, the dark side of, the moooooon! And she's generally a fun character, plus the Nightmare Moon thing gives her a great character arc. Though my favorite character is Discord since he's so fun, I like Luna. She's fun because she isn't.

I don't know why I didn't know this was a pairing. If "Rarity Fighting A Giant Crab" is a thing then this is definitely in the real of easily possibly couplings. I like it

Well, at this point, honestly, I probably won't. I'm just having trouble writing in general (as far as mustering the energy/time), and if you're going to let multiple people make stories for her, then I'd rather not. I mostly just wanted her to have a story. Having multiple stories conflicting for the same OC is just... silly. X3

I don't really see anything silly about it... We've got countless conflicting stories of actual, canon characters, so I see little difference if it's an OC or not.

Because an OC should belong to one person only. I'm not going to take the time to give the character a name, a backstory, and everything else if someone else already is. It's a waste of time and energy, considering all of the other stuff I already work on.

See, that's the belief that we don't share. I don't think OCs have to be worked on by only one person, but you do. Not gonna nag ya about it, though, so don't worry about it. I'm not about to expect a guy to work on a background to an OC if he's not invested in it. Live and let live and all that jazz.

... Except what you're assuming is a COLLABORATION, whereas what's going on with this, if I had done my thing, would be totally different from what they do. There's a difference btw. character exploration, which is what you're TRYING to suggest, and Character CREATION, which is what I was trying to do. You can't have two different backstories for the same character in the same universe. That just... doesn't work. That's like saying that Nyx is both the daughter of Twilight Sparkle AND Rarity. It doesn't make ANY sense.

You're right that you can't have two conflicting backstories of the same character in the same universe. It doesn't work, for obvious reasons.
But I was talking about two different backstories of the same character in DIFFERENT universes. Which does work. You can have as many differing stories as you want, so long as they take place in different universes. Same principle as what's applied in fanfiction, when authors create backstories to a canonical character.

Again, I'm not trying to attack you or anything. Just explaining myself. If you don't wanna write up a backstory of a character because someone already did, that's your call, and I understand why you feel that way.
