Description

Flowey is based on a Blanket Flower found in dry areas and deserts. I felt that this would fit a desert theme better than the Ranunculus (or buttercup) that canon Flowey is based on.

Flowey is very dependent on water. He cannot survive for immense amounts of time without. After he was thrown out of the castle he gave up and basically just waited to die. He never expected for a human to find them. Frisk eventually does and takes great pity on him. The kid gives him water and companionship and together they travel until they find the Skeleton raider brothers that take them in and take care of them.

Flowey is incredibly rude. He curses a lot and talks the skeleton brothers and Frisk down a lot. He does not understand why Frisk keeps giving him water to keep him alive, or why the skeleton brothers have a human in their midst. The world is so barren and empty he feels like they should just give up and tries to make them see the evil in the world.
That petal that he’s lost on his head? Yes, that’s Frisk’s fault. They didn’t pull it off but they tripped over the flower escaping from the Royal Palace. Because Flowey was dehydrated, the petal simply fell off and since there isn’t a lot of water for him to survive, let alone grow, it simply hasn’t returned.

Frisk, being a young human, does not know any of the bad words that Flowey constantly throws at them and keeps trying to ask the skeleton brothers to explain them to them. They try to avoid having to explain them and can get pretty angry at the rude flower but they cannot harm them because Frisk is incredibly protective of him - they can throw him filthy looks all they want, Frisk will keep them from harming his flowery friend.

The pot he’s in is a respiratory mask turned upside down. Frisk took it with them when running from the castle and replanted Flowey in the only thing they had on them even useful enough to be used as a flower pot. They later decorate it with stickers and random items they find or get from the skelebrothers. The broken flower pot is left in front of the castle.
