Description
This painting was inspired by a beautiful clay sculpture by the talented Tina Yu called, "Nigiri." Her dainty surrealist perspective of self sacrifice provided hours of fuel for me to put it to paper. 36 hours later, I've got a new addition to my private collection. Be sure to check out Tina's IG page and YouTube to watch her scultping process. Its fascinating. This mixed media piece is made on 9x12 block 140lb hot press Fluid Watercolor brand paper. I used PanPastels, OG Berol Prismacolor Pencils and 30 year old PH. Martin's India ink as well as a few strokes of Martin's stunning 11R Copper Plate Gold calligraphy ink.
