Description
Rosalin is a common mare of little standing in the Greyglen herd. The most remarkable thing about her is her unusual color and pink skin, but she is otherwise not particularly notable. Beauty is prized most in Greyglen mares, and when they are not beautiful, the sharpness of their minds gives them status, but Rosalin is not greatly endowed with either of these traits. She is not ugly, she is not stupid, but that is all. At least to most.Dalibor loves Rosalin for her courage and genuine kindness. She is an uncommonly sweet mare, always wishing to believe the best in others, always the first to point out her own misdeeds. He also thinks she has beautiful eyes, and loves the shape of her neck and lips.

I love how natural these horses are. They are stained, gritty, marked with dirt and scars. Nothing gleams about them - they are very real, as everyone else has said. I love that, it's so hard to come by. It's much easier to create a shiny, beautiful horse than to take the extra time and detail to draw in broken tufts of fur, dirt, stains of age.

YAY! Finally a Rosalin Reference.
I must agree with the few that said that the fact that she's not super smart or super pretty makes her more believable. I honestly think she gorgeous, but I'm a sucker for horses that look like her because of an old Clydesdale Stallion that my grandfather used to have of the same color. He was really smart too. I remember that he kept getting out of his stable because he knew how to unlock it.
My friends and I were camping in the woods near my grandpa's house the first time he had done so. We all woke up because one of my friends thought there was a bear outside of our tent (they have those where my grandpa lives), so everyone was freaking out. I can't recall his name, but he was the sweetest horse I've ever known. He also had a really deep nicker. I dunno if that's weird though.
Anyway, sorry, I ramble.
So like, all those marks on Rosalin are scars? I would think she would sort of get picked on because of her low status and super kind demeanor. Sucks, but I'm sure it happens..

He was. I have to wear a leg brace on my right leg in order to walk evenly. My right leg is 9 inches shorter than my left because my 'mother' did alot of drugs and such when she was pregnant with me (On the bright side, Despite all the drugs like coke and such that she did, I wasn't born where I was dependent on it Thankfully). Anyway, he was one of the only horses that would actually not freak out when I got on them wearing my brace and the ONLY horse that let me ride him bareback (We wrapped my brace in medium thickness blankets for this event so that the metal didn't rub and cut his sides). He's also the only horse that would adjust himself when I favored one side over the other, if that makes sense. I recall one time that I was riding him without a saddle and without my brace on and he was in a canter and I started to slide to the left. Instead of stopping, he slowed down and turned himself so that he could reach back and push me back on him straight. I misses him.
Low status on any totem pole sucks.
So...question (yes, I ask things alot), If Dalibor's status in the herd was better than Rosalin's or vice versa, would the other's staus be brought up to match sense they're mates? (Does that make sense?)

beautiful job with her coloring, all the little details like the stained bits of her mane and tail make her really interesting! (and more realistic) My "white" horse has stains in the exact same spots lol

She is so beautiful, and those scuffs and stains add so much to her character - you can tell a lot about her life. I love your style of lines, too. They look so clean and smooth but free at the same time.

i do love Rosalin, and the fact that she's not ZOMG SO PRETTY or SO SMART. it adds something, and makes her believable. i do love her eyes as well.
