I just realized I never posted the reference of my Zone OC. Well, better late than never. He has yet to appear in Zone canon proper, with him currently in the limbo of "Wandering in Psi Zone's Digital World, but when will he join with Dan and co.?"

Mateo comes from an alternate Adventure Zone where, well, he got a Digivice and partner. He's interacted with the main Digidestined multiple times in the past, but his adventures with his best friend Suji and younger brother Adam are largely self-contained. Mateo bears one of the four "dark crests" (based on the four crestless Digimentals from Tag Tamers), being the Crest of Pride, which allows him to access deep into data vaults and bypass code restrictions easier, as well as open Gates about as easily as a D-3.

Mateo himself is a man of few words, preferring action to talk and choosing to go with whatever may come his way. While it's gotten him in his fair share of trouble in the past, he's also helped a considerable amount of Digimon and forged lasting friendships. As a kid, he also has been described as pretty mature for his age. He's also decent with computers, as he learned a few tricks from his father, a software engineer.

After hearing about the limiter on his Digivice from Sora, he and Suji went together to journey to the Kernel of the Digital World and delete the program that forces Digimon to abandon their partners. While they were successful, it was too late, and their Digivices broke in the process, leaving Digivolution all but inaccessible to them.

As for his partner, Gazimon...

Attacks:

Paralyzer Breath: Breathes out fumes that paralyze up to Champion level Digimon, and a particularly strong dose can even slow an Ultimate.
Pitfall/Hidden Attack: Digs to the ground to collapse it underneath an opponent, or to sneak behind them and attack.
Gazimon Claw: Scratches the opponent with his claw.
Bellend Bomb: Tosses a sticky grenade at the opponent.

To be blunt, it's hard to like Gazimon. He's irreverent, rude, sarcastic, and smells like fermented garbage. Being a virus type, his lack of trust (he especially hates Vaccine types) also gets in the way a few times. He prefers deception and subterfuge over direct combat, and will happily tell his comrades to shove it if he doesn't like his odds. However, he's not the type to screw up either. If he does like the odds, he'll take down his opponents with a stroke of mastery and a smirk on his face. Beneath all of this, however, way deep down, is a dependable ally. He may complain when in danger, but he's no coward. Far from it, in fact. Despite his scrappy demeanor, he has a deep respect for his partner. While it may seem sarcastic, when he refers to Mateo as "Fearless Leader", it's nothing but sincere.
