I love to walk around at night. The sounds, the smells, the peace, the hunt. I walk silently around the woods. I watch my every step to avoid the crunch of a dead leaf. I look at the night sky, and live mist that pervade the ground. My ear perks up at the crunch of a leaf. I bend down low and form together with the ground. My night vision striking in the dark of the night. I see the small rodent run by. It's heart beat fast with fear as it hid in the brush unaware of me, it's true fear. I walk over to it down low, ready to pounce on it at any moment. It turns to face me. I meet it's wide eye's with excitement of the hunt. It dashes, heart racing. I sprint all four paws racing, forgetting all worries of silence. I dart after it left and right enjoying in the game. It's life on the line for my entertainment. I see it's imminent end coming. It tries to tide in the nook of a tree trunk. I see it shake with fear, begging me to let it live. I pick it up in my mouth and toss it in the air, just to hear it's tiny squeals. I catch it in my paw and pin it to the ground. I let it go for a short moment and pull it back. It started to lose it's fight. I decide to let it go longer to see i fight harder again. I let it go too long. It runs as fast as it can. Angry I chase it. Too escape me! I case it a bit longer before I hear the call.

"Rooney, come in boy!" I continue to chase the mouse in a hurry, if she finds me she will take me inside. In my confusion and worry I lost my pray. I sat down wagging my tail in irritation. My ears flat against my head. A flashlight shown on me. My master picked me up and pet my ear.

"You silly little cat! Let's go in now, it's freezing!" I purred for her and gave my only response.

"Meow! Purr~."
