Well, like any SLICE OF LIFE anime or manga, you have to have your sports festival day. How original, I know...
The only reason why I wanted to make this and over here, it's because it's the first time in the story we learn a bit more about Stephen and about his schizophrenia.
Also, at some point, during the "Rescuing Sayori" plot point, I would have have had Stephen telling her: "It's because that we're overthinking, makes us never give up our lives." -> hinting her suicide intentions and the fact that we, as people, can always overthink this decision to prevent us from giving up our own life.
That line was supposed to suggest that Stephen was struggling with depression in the real world.
