Background: Knuckles is a hotheaded Echidna born and raised on a mysterious floating island in the sky. Being the last of his kind, he vowed to follow his orders to protect the Master Emerald with his life. However, due to the nature of the Evil Dr. Eggman, it didn't take long for Knuckles to get wrapped up in the everyday life of Sonic The Hedgehog. Due to him living in seclusion for most of his life, Knuckles is antisocial and reclusive by nature. As such, he cares very little about what others think, which makes him brutally honest, a little too straightforward, and somewhat egotistical. He's not one to go into the city, for he'd rather grow and manage his resources all on his island, just like his people had done for hundreds of years. Girls make him extremely nervous.

Some head cannons for this AU
-The spirit of Chaos and Tikial are the ones who guards Master Emerald when Knuckles is out doing his missions
-Knuckles dislikes modern cities and technology. He believes that you should survive just like how his people did, off of the land and off of the grid. He gets anxious when he has to go to the city for any mission.
-He either doesn't know how to write or simply very rarely does it as he does not need to up on his island and his gloves probably don't make writing easy anyways.
-The spikes on Knuckles' knuckles are the result of a bone disorder that causes the bones in the knuckles to grow out of his hand. Thankfully it didn't deform the hand and not only does it make the fist incredibly durable but the spikes make climbing a breeze. The disorder is genetic and only affects male Echidnas from his tribe.
-Knuckles' favorite food is grapes. He prefers the purple ones. Rouge uses this information to her advantage.
-Knuckles sees Sonic as his best friend, despite how easily Knuckles has turned against him in the past. He'd never tell Sonic this though because the last thing that hedgehog needs is an ego boost.
