Pictures from Hurricane Sandy when it hit a few years ago. I plan to upload more of them as I finish editing them. Editing photos is rather soothing if I do not say so myself.I'm also learning a lot from my own teachings for Photography Club.

First ImpressionsHekabe stared at the menu in semi-conscious state. She was reading the items and the prices, but she wasn’t fully comprehending them. The young woman had finished an important exam in one of her classes, and she was confident that she had failed it. Carter was probably right after all. She was worthless in most of her classes. She was barely passing them to keep in her program. The woman gave a deep breath before she placed a hand on her stomach. She was four months pregnant; the baby didn’t help the matter of her classes either. She had to skip classes occasionally for her doctor’s appointments. Her professors understood, so her attendance never wavered, but she wanted to excel like she had in high school.
“Miss?” asked the cashier at the counter. “What would you like?”
Hekabe snapped out of her thoughts before shaking her head, “Sorry, sorry. I’ll have an iced sweet tea, please.”
Her eyes flickered to the price of the iced s Soulmates C. 1“In other news, an accident occurred on Route 260 today. A massive vehicle pileup had started when a tractor trailer went over the medium.”
The news was cut short as the TV flashed off. Hannah made a noise of protest as she glared at her roommate. She was interested in that news story. It wasn’t every day that something major, like a massive vehicle pileup happened near the their small, community university. She huffed before going to grab the remote to turn it back on. Though, the college girl figured it was mostly over at that point. Her roommate grabbed the remote before she could get to it.
“No can do, Hannah. We have class in five minutes, and I know how you like your news stories, Miss Journalist Major.”
“Pleaseee, Laura,” she whined. “I want to know what happened to the people in that pileup. The reporter in me must know.”
