Man, this is a fantastic idea for a crossover. With also Autobots now responsible for the protection of Remnant, Optimus enlists these Autobots to be an assistance to Team RWBY. They're fighting styles match perfectly.
I can even see quite good contrasts with each of they're personalities:
1.) Mirage likes to be independent and has a natural thrill of fighting.
2.) Sideswipe requires strategies in battles, but sometimes acts rashly against others.
3.) Drift as a Samurai is stoick and skillful, but often prefers peacefully resolutions.
4.) Bumblebee is brave and kinda hotheaded, willing to take on anything.
