Description
After Superman's "death", the body of the "dead" Doomsday was sent into space after it was discovered that Doomsday was still alive and was recovering from injuries received during his fight against Superman.

After his explosion and faking his death, Cell decided to stay in space, aiming to train and get stronger for his rematch against the Z-Fighters and the rest of Earth's heroes.

During his time in space, Cell encountered Doomsday, which was causing chaos on different planets at the same time as he was doing what he could to get back to Earth.

A battle between the two evil creations began, with Cell having, to some extent, an advantage over Doomsday, however, the healing factor and ability to adapt made Cell begin to be overcome by the Kryptonian beast.

Cell knew he had to find a way to beat Doomsday before the beast could find a way to kill him. Cell had an idea. That idea came when Cell saw the sun.

Cell flew to the sun, and using all his power to withstand the high temperatures, Cell began to absorb as much solar energy as his Kryptonian cells could.

After several seconds, Cell felt that his energies had been restored, while at the same time he felt his power increase.

Solar Cell was born.

Cell, as a way of thanking Doomsday for showing him that he could do that, sent him very close to Earth with a Kame Hame Ha.
