Possible story:
Lucy and Carly were partners in crime, hired to assassinate a notorious drug lord who was hiding in a high-rise building. They had a daring plan: to flood the building with water from the nearby river, using explosives and a network of pipes. They already wore wetsuits to survive the deluge and escape unnoticed.
They sneaked into the building, planting the bombs and connecting the pipes. They reached the lowest floor, where their target was supposed to be. They saw him trough a small window.
Lucy saw an opportunity. She grabbed Carly by the arm and dragged her to a nearby room. She locked the door behind them and threw Carly to the floor. Carly looked at her with confusion and fear.
"What are you doing, Lucy?" Carly asked.
"I'm sorry, Carly, but this is the end of the line for you," Lucy said. "You see, I was hired by a rival gang to kill both the drug lord and you. You were just a pawn in their game. And now, you're going to drown."
Lucy pulled out a remote and pressed a button. A loud explosion rocked the building, followed by the sound of rushing water. Carly realized that Lucy had detonated the bombs and opened the pipes. Water started to pour into the room from the ceiling and the walls. Carly got up and ran to the door, but it was locked. She looked for another way out, but there was none. She was trapped.
Lucy put on her scuba mask and regulator, and checked her oxygen tank. She had enough air to last for an hour. She smiled wickedly at Carly, who was banging on the door, screaming for help. Lucy walked to the window and looked outside. She saw the water level rising rapidly, flooding the streets and the lower floors of the building. She felt a surge of adrenaline and satisfaction. She had pulled off the perfect crime.
She turned to Carly, who was now waist-deep in water. Carly saw Lucy's smug face and felt a surge of anger and betrayal. She grabbed a chair and threw it at Lucy, but Lucy dodged it. Carly lunged at Lucy, trying to snatch her scuba gear. Lucy pushed her away and kicked her in the stomach. Carly fell back, gasping for air. The water was now up to her chest.
Lucy laughed and taunted Carly. "How does it feel, Carly? How does it feel to be betrayed by your best friend? How does it feel to know that you're going to die in a few minutes?"
Carly glared at Lucy and spat out some water. "You're not my friend, Lucy. You're a monster. And you're not going to get away with this. I'll haunt you for the rest of your life. I'll make you pay for what you did to me."
Lucy shrugged and said, "Whatever, Carly. You can haunt me all you want. But you can't stop me. I'm going to walk out of here alive, with a bag full of money and a smile on my face. And you're going to die here, alone and scared. Goodbye, Carly."
Lucy turned away from Carly and walked to the other side of the room. She waited for the water to reach the window, then she smashed it with a crowbar. She climbed out of the window and swam away, leaving Carly behind.
Carly watched Lucy disappear into the murky water. She felt a wave of despair and hopelessness. She knew she had no chance of survival. She knew she was going to die. She cried and prayed, hoping for a miracle. But none came. The water kept rising, until it reached her neck, her mouth, her nose. She held her breath, but she couldn't hold it for long. She felt her lungs burning, her vision fading, her consciousness slipping away. She let out a final bubble of air, and then she was gone.
