I feel Red orchestra certainly did this in the multiplayer sense, maybe less in the single player. I feel a Korean war game is in order seeing as it has to be one of the least covered conflicts in gaming.
This said I like your HUD; how it is very minimal and unobtrusive, and the image that it is placed upon is even cooler.
