I like working with graphites but
I don't like how the scanner doesn't
pick up the fine detail.I was happy how
it came out since I hadn't used them in
awhile though

yeah scanners don't like graphite >.< well if i ever try and scan one i find that more detail shows up if you make the resolution really high, but then you're stuck with a huge picture so yeah

It's not any better to take photos either.
Too many shadows or if the light is too
bright most of the detail disappears.

Awesome graphite! You really should do more of them they turn out so cool
The eyes are great, very telling. Can only imagine the stories this lion could tell if it could talk! Probably wouldn't want to get to close to the story telling though- never know when he might get hungry and want you for a snack!
