History:
Raised fairly human Iris always knew what he was. It had been generations since anyone in his family identified as a practicing witch. If anything the powers that came with his bloodline, was a quirk at best. To be titled a witch was an insult, something his parents, particularly his mother preferred to leave unspoken. As a kid Iris had tried to understand how something so spectacular would be ignored. Never getting a clear answer, it’s assumed his grandmother’s totally accidental no foul play at all death, trapped in a burning barn.. might be the motive behind his mother’s choices. His relationship with his parents has always been strained, the magic coming from his mothers side it seemed his dad was left in the dark. Coming as no surprise to anyone, once 18 he was quick to move out of the house to peruse his education.
However once graduated Iris was left feeling lost, unsure of what direction to take. It’s hard to say the real reason the witch was drawn to this town. Maybe it’s to embrace a side of him he never got to explore, or maybe it was the affordable housing. Rent these days in big cities is getting ridiculous.
