Description The sunset was magnificent the night I felt death overcome me.  The sun’s rays shone through the subtle, white clouds.  It was the closest thing to Heaven that I would ever experience, because people like me never see Heaven or an afterlife.  I sat on a crate listening to the seagulls and the ocean splash on the rocks below the dock.  The sounds were like the suns symphony playing the last song of the day. A gull came and sat next to me as if it had a last message to give me.  Not moving or even afraid, the gull sat there staring at me, eye to eye.  If forever had lasted in this one moment, I would have loved to spend my forever right then.

The brief chill in the air told me that the end was nearing.  Soon the sun would be gone and the moon would power the natural light in the sky.  The warmth would disappear, and the chill of the night would begin.  A chill that I will feel every moment of my everlasting life, the only feeling I will have left from my normal life.  I took a deep breath as the suns last inch disappeared from the horizon, and exhaled the poison from my lungs to never depend on it again.

The chill over took my body, the world sat still for a short moment, and I passed; To wake a few moments later, as something new.
