This is how they first met, in the bible, there were chapters taken out due to the fact that they were too... fantastic, they didn't fit in secularly. So they were taken out, in one of these chapters was a battle between the fallen angels, who refused to serve humans under the command of God, and those who did. Nathan is the fallen angel and duh, I'm saving his life.
