He was not the torturing type. Torture was tasteless. Torture was a device better left to Starscream, who hungered for some sort of control to hold over others, and Shockwave, whose scientific pursuits bordered on a vulgarity to life itself.
No, one could be more proficient working within the shadows then outside of them.

But this one was different.

He barely gave it a passing thought. The other mech was sleek, colourful and audacious. The Autobot wore defiance like a cloak; was as arrogant as the higher castes that had once ruled Cybertron. Even his vocalizer was an emulation of the Senate and all their pathetic superiority and nasally tones.

"...Did you want to extort this one for information, Soundwave?," Megatron asked, a knowing smirk curling at the corner of his fanged mouth as the communications officer stepped forward an inch. Starscream seemed irate that he would be denied his rare pleasure. The bridge watched silently as Soundwave nodded minutely; dark visor a blank canvas which reflected the poor Autobot's growing uncertainty.

"Well, that's the end to that flashy paintjob," Knockout muttered quietly to himself as Vehicons dragged the latest captive to one of the isolated brigs. "Never took Soundwave for the sadistic type. Creepy, sure...."

Soundwave merely catalogued the medic's comment away for a later use, stalking slowly behind his helpless prey; feeling Lazerbeak shift slightly against his chestplates at the growing eagerness in his master's spark, pulsing quicker for this wonderful chance to play with a caste-loving Autobot layer... by layer....
