Gonna be doing creative live streams on twitch where I draw on **GASP** ... paper. Recording the book with a Canon Vixia HF R60 connected through a Roxio Gamecap HD Pro, upside to this is it allows me to record a highbitrate 1080 copy on my camcorder while broadcasting at 720 without an additional tax on my CPU. I initially had this monopod attached to the tripod it came off of sitting on the shelves behind my desk, but I didn't like how precariously purched it was, and the monopod didn't reach far enough forward for me to comfortable draw. I wanted to secure it to the support rod of my monitor stand, since that was there anyways and clamped to my desk, but had nothing to use and didn't want to spend $30+ on JUST clamp, or $130+ for an articulating arm that would just get tangled in my monitor arms. I decided to see what I had in my junk box and found this little cylinder/cup thing with holes at the bottom that could easily be secured to the monopod with zip ties, and then I just filled the gap with some junk foam pieces. There are 6 zip ties, drawn so tight that one of them actually stretched. I can still wiggle the monopod to slide it forward and backwards if need be, and the whole rig is easily removed rotated out of the way... assuming I remove the tripod mount head first, lol.
