Where the withered trees go, I follow
Through my eyes. I hear colors and touch sound, I see base lines from where life starts and ends, like a boxed in palace of limited opportunity. I fear for them, a gangly presence of wings, eyes and sprawling heads, hundreds of them in fact; for they sought to bring down and emit visions of frequencies no man woman of child seek through mortal senses. I lay awake, wondering when my last sunrise sits. When they return home once more.
