Just a quick digital draw while I was working out visuals for a novel scene.

This is a small-whale sized carnivore that ice-fishes with its tail to catch prey. The tail has colorful poison quills to attract and stun prey. It then uses a beak-mouth to tear the paralyzed prey apart. It also can "swim" through deep snow or broken ice-snow terrain.

Its based loosely on otters and moles and is a hazard to my protagonist in my book Failure To Communicate, part of the Exitus Caeli Chronicles.
