Description
This is my first ever photographed snowflake. I took the shot with my humble digital camera and freehand. In fact it is the first but one snow here, where I live...
It may not be something special with all those wonderful macro-photographers around DA... but to me it is.
Doesn't mother nature create the most beautiful art? I stood on my balcony, freezing, and marvelled at each ice crystal. They are so pretty!

Zum Gucken auf alle Fälle! Leider hat es hier gerade mal einen Zentimeter geschneit... und schöne Flocken zum gucken waren es auch nicht. Dafür ist alles etwas überzuckert. Wir sind halt immer in der Rheinebene...

Eigentlich schneit es hier auch nie oder selten... aber wir hatten dieses Chaos und letztes jahr Massen an Schnee... Und jetzt schon wieder dauerschneien... Scheint sich klimamäßig was hier im raum zu ändern. Ich kenne es ja gut ausm Sauerland, wo ich herkomme.... und in Kanada... ja, DAS waren Schneemassen.
So, fast feierabend. mal gucken, wie der verkehr so ist.

My time of school is loooong past! But I sure had some weird flicks of nature in my class!!!
Today I work with customers and sometimes I just think that god sure must have a weird sense of humour!

I wish we had snow here. we NEVER have snow. except on several highest places, and even then it soesnt look like that.... its half molten, almost like hail.

It is very difficult to capture a single snowflake, especially with no special macro camera... I was lucky! They are all different! Usually we don't have much snow where I live too but there are MANY places in Germany where there is MUCH snow!

Very very true beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder, but truth be told I have never seen the real detail of a snowflake, so I am pleased I can show my little ones this beautiful pcture to explain to them what indeed they look like

Amazing, and very very pretty! A hard capture to get I think no matter what type of camera you have - you have to be in the right place at the right time with the right temperature for the flake to land and not melt but still be one of the first so it isn't overwhelmed by others. kudos!
