Took about an hour & a 1/2

i love how he looks noticeably yonger in the middle drawing. and i LOVE both his expressions on either side. they really show his changed personality.

Smoothnessness was achieved with stumps! Rolled up lil pieces of paper..can find em anywhere...great for shading..I used my fingertips before but i got tired of washing my hands! XD

Another proof that you have a good taste in characters. It's not like Zuko would be my favourite male human character in Avatar or anything. Anyhoo, I love what you did to the kid version -- it's almost like an old photo. The whole thing is awesome in general, but kid Zuko's face just captures your eyes. I think there's some room for improvement in the bald Zuko though if you don't mind -- compared to the shorthaired Zuko his outlines are perhaps a bit too distinctive which brings out his baldyness slightly more than it's necessary. But that's about it, really.
Anyways, I'd fave this a hundred times over.

is it less expensive? I dunno about that--- printer paper/sketchbooks has always been what I've worked with... Now that I have to buy these things it's a bit weird... yeah, I think i'll take a second look at card stock. And yes, it makes perfect sense. i guess I should experiment with different papers.

every one says cardstock is good, but I tried to do a picture on card stock and it STUNK!
