Description
So I'm going to catch a lot of shit (well, MORE shit, anyway) about this pinup from certain people, but considering everything it's cost me, I had no choice but to finish it. This piece was many months in the making due to personal drama and serious bouts of depression and artist's block, but it feels really good to finally complete it.

This is a birthday present for my friend Aeris, a student at UNC who is really into college basketball (understandable, considering she attends a school with a consistently top-ranked squad). This pinup has been through six different poses before I finally settled on this one, and I have to say it's one of my favorite so far. I've been noticing a progression of my technique through my last few pieces and I feel it really stands out here. This was also my first piece completed using Adobe CS6, which is btw my favorite iteration thus far. All told, the sense of accomplishment I get from this piece is truly awesome, and will make it stand out in my mind for some time to come.
