Description
This is a commission I recently finished for a friend from my high school football team for his band, DDL Roundhouse. Their album is coming out soon and they needed some cover art, for which they all wanted to be depicted as Street Fighter Characters. Initially this was going to be full-body shots for each member/character, but time and budget constraints wouldn't allow, so what we ended up with was a take on the classic character select screens.

For this piece I spent a lot of time perusing dA (as usual ), familiarizing myself with the little details of each character's garb. I was also heavily influenced by the work of Udon Crew's character select screens, and their Street Fighter work in general.

All told, each individual piece took between one and three days to finish, depending on the amount of detail. Done completely in Adobe Illustrator 4, using a Wacom intuos3 tablet.
