ice king use to be scientist named science and he had a girlfriend or wife(his "princess"). but he found the ice king's crown and slowly became crazy. she disappeared and this shows he still loves her even after all those years.

No offence to 198329, but that was kind of a terrible description. Really, up to this point in the series, The Ice King had been a really weird combination of that Grandparent that has no idea whats going on but wants to be the center of attention, and that uncle/friends of the family who made you uncomfortable and sat to close and smelled funny... Except the Ice King was likable somehow. Anyways, he was random and funny and he kidnapped princesses and tried repeatable to force them to marry him. He was just kinda swung between hilarious and completely likable to really creepy and actually making you really uncomfortable to watch.

And then this came out.
