Description
The penultimate moment of a hard-fought duel between a Loyalist Banshee and mercenary Timber Wolf. Both combatants are a single good blow from crumbling completely. The Banshee stands firm, attempting to finish its opponent off with a single mighty blow. The Timber Wolf ducks. Crouching underneath the brunt of the fire it twists to protect its vital areas, but leans forward into an impending turn. Fresh racks of missiles glinting in the light, lasers charged.
It was a lot of fun to draw out the dynamism and personality of each of these machines. The Banshee's thick body, heavyset frame, planted stance and squared shoulders lends itself well to its character as a bulldozer brawler, designed to win fights by "punching the other guy in the face harder than he punches you". The Timber Wolf's more graceful frame and fluid movement gives it a predatory look as it almost leers into the kill. It may not be as tough as its prey, but it knows how to avoid the horns and go for the throat.

My favorite thing about your Battletech art is that you treat the mechs like characters all on their own. Star Wars has the Skywalker family as the main characters of the saga. Star Trek has the Enterprise and it's crew as it's main character. Battletech has the mighty Battlemech. Inanimate war gods that are full of character all on their own. It's only a plus that there are decent characters in universe to even further sweeten this fantasy world. I love it and you capture this very well.
