This time around I'm really trying to focus on making a functional player-character-design. I've decided that I want her hair length to represent a gameplay element (like health or ammo) so I toned down the orange on her outfit so that her hair would be always obvious visible no matter the length. I'm wanting the final game to have no HUD, and instead telegraph to the player all necessary information through visual and audio cues. I also did some changes to the art style to better adhere to 3D space, and I think I can draw this new face much more consistently.Her design won't be officially final until I release the game, so let me know if you have any thoughts on how I could improve her design in the future.

Ooooooh, this is looking nice! The dot shading does make it a little hard to see how her outfit looks like now, though. Is she wearing a regular shirt or crop top? Can't really tell 'cuz her skin's also white.

It's a crop top. I wanted to add a differentiation between her legs and torso, and since I want her hair to be the only prominent orange on her design, I chose to use her skin as the dividing line. The shading for this one is more experimental, so I'll try to do better in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

Aaaaaaah, makes sense. Yea, I can get behind that. The shading's cool, I'm like it, but as a way to show off the new design, it makes it kinda tough to see.
