Description Here is a comparison based on the figure of Lambert et al. 2010 about the description of Livyatan (formerly Leviathan) melvillei compared to the skull of the bull sperm whale and the orca.
Added to this, is the jaws restoration of the skeletal reconstruction of Carcharocles (or Carcharodon) megalodon from the Calvert Marine Museum. Originally part of a life-sized 37- foot subadult male skeleton, the jaws have been scaled up at the size of a 55-footer, the estimated size of the largest megalodon specimen found in the Gatun nursery (Pimiento 2010).
Standing with these guys, the shape of a human being for scale.

You can then appreciate the size and respective specifities of these ancients marine predators, certainly the most impressive known in history.
