Well, it made me think of an old horse with worn teeth that have not been filed by a veterinary--and he's yawning.
So you have perhaps an aged unicorn. Yes, perhaps this old man was cursed to age. He's tired. Maybe he is looking for the wizard who cast this curse on him and took away his beauty and immortality.
He became and old man and he's very tired.

i'm saddened and slightly horrified by this skilled art work, the pose, the lines, the shading. wonderful. but i am saddened and horrified partly because i am confused about exactly what i'm seeing - does "no way out.." refer to some sort of horned and fanged creature attempting to burst out of the horses body and that is why it cries and writhes in pain? or it it just some psycho flesh eating unicorn that i should run like hell from? a creature to be pitied or feared?

Ummm...omg. This quite literally scared me so bad i nearly screamed. luckily all I did was flinch, cringe, shudder a little bit, then show it to my little sister XD

When you see a unicorn, the first thing you think of is happy happy with rainbows and lollipops. Then I see a a unicorn crying then later noticing it has fangs, its like the opposite state of mind of what you would think. This picture has feeling and a big impression of what art really is. This to me, deserves a fav and much more. Wait... a Daily deviation reward is all you can get! Great job, you really deserved it.

Excellently creepy. Reminds me of Picasso's Guernica. That might have been a horse swallowing a unicorn horn, rather than a tormented unicorn. I get the two confused.
