Phenomenal. Why? I have never seen an unicorn portrayed this way.

Do you know the motto of the sienese contrada of Leocorno (unicorn)? "Fiede e risana al par l'arma ch'ho in fronte" (the horn on my forehead can harm as well as cure). It looks like this one just harms, forget about curing...
Awesome nonetheless!

In the Middle-ages people thought that the unicorn horn could remove poison from water, wine etc. so there was a florid market of 'unicorn horn powder' (I don't really want to know what it really was) as a remedy for poison and various diseases.

ah yeah i know that part.. but the way you wrote it down in the first comment gave me so much more ideas. these times it looks like a strange idea. and they used narwal's horns didn't they. but the idea of animal parts made into powders having great powers lives on today i guess, but with other animals.
thanks for replying.

I wish I had a way with words as nightpark does...but alas I do not.
What I see is the horse going through a traumatic and very painful metamorphosis. Which is basically what nightpark said without the flourish!

Okay.
So.
When I saw this itty bitty... I thought it looked really funny. So, I laughed.
And then I clicked on it... And I peed myself.
Eh... not really.
But, there was a major difference in how I felt about this picture.
I love it, though.
It's a different view of unicorns.
No more rainbows and pretty flowers!
Kudos.

it looks like how I pictured the unicorn in one of the dresden file books. always thought that unicorns wouldn't be all sweetness and light. really well done, like the way that the eyes are just fathomless pits, promising no mercy type style of thing...Sorry not good at proper critiques, the only thing I would have done differently is perhaps had the teeth a bit larger, more like a real horses, except with pointy bits and maybe make the lower lip a bit rounder to clash against how pointy the teeth are.
very creepy, very real, keep doing more...am off to have a look at your gallery now.

man, I can't see the emoticons but I really wanted to use the lmao one. VEGETABLES!!!! lol.
So this pic is totally terrifying, but could you just imagine who comic it would be if you pasted a cartoon image of a broccoli under the horse(?)'s mouth????

Generally I never pass up an opportunity to critique, but with this one I'll have to pass for two reasons. For one, animals are not my specialty. For two, I don't see anything that needs improvement! It's awesome!
