Description

There was a ‘Celebrating Handers Week’ thing last month on tumblr that I couldn’t join in on due to some family issues, but I loved the hell out of some of the prompts and had already started drawing this before things happened.
I really liked the ‘first date’ prompt. Like, most of the people who were participating in that one (and did that particular prompt) had these really cute fluffy ideas. And meanwhile I’m looking at my Hawke.
My Hawke who is a magnet for weird shit. A maker-damned-magnet for getting into and (usually, hopefully) out of trouble. And he’s in love with a man that is practically the definition of trouble.
…
This. This was their first date. They didn’t even make it to the restaurant.
They did, however, make it to the restaurant on the second date the very next night. Though Hawke still somehow managed to get half his pants coated in mud before arriving.
When Leandra heard that Hawke had a date she and Isabela and Varric ambushed him and got him into that outfit. (Well. Leandra and Isabela helped. Varric took notes for his next book.) Otherwise Hawke might have gone on his date in the leathers he normally wore. He has almost no fashion sense. Leandra’s tastes aren’t much better (depending on your point of view.)
