Description For October 2018 Challenge

HEWWO!

I was very excited about this idea once day 10 rolled around. I took visual inspiration from BioShock 2's Big Sister needles and from BnH's Shinsou Hitoshi's hair (My son, I love him). Otherwise, these people look like normal humans who blush a lot more than usual, so I didn't do anything crazy with him. Onto the lore!

Anti Vampires are often conscripted into Vampire hunting because of how they work. Vampires are undead, pale, and suck blood to live. Anti-Vampires are alive, often look flushed because of extra blood rushing in their system, and instead need to occasionally get blood out of their system, which is why this guy has a red scarf with a blood stain on it. They're prone to nosebleeds, and since it happens to him so much he figured he should just stay prepared (do any of you remember that vampire manga Chibi Vampire? It's sort of the same concept with the extra blood.)  Now, you'd think vampires would actually love a being that has extra blood and needs to get rid of some of it, right?

WRONG

The biggest value in anti-vampires is that their blood is poisonous to actual vampires. Why? No one's really sure, but the working theory is whatever bit of DNA causes their body to overproduce blood doesn't mix well with vampire systems. So they're pretty good at the whole vampire hunting thing since they need to get rid of some blood anyway and they don't have to worry about being turned by vampire bites. They differ from humans in that they do have slightly longer lifespans, but they aren't immortal like vampires. They're just very VERY hardy. I decided that if they make extra blood cells, they probably have extra white blood cells to fight sicknesses, so they have a boost that regular humans don't.

As a side note, this pic has some practice with messier line art. I felt like I enjoyed that more than the clean work I usually try, but we'll have to see how things go. Thanks again for your views and feedback, and I'll see you tomorrow!
