#20: Ghost-type Trainers/Lumiose City Ghost Girl - Pokemon X/Y

From the get go I really wanted to highlight the Ghost-type Pokemon trainers throughout the series, after all what is Pokemon without trainers and really a lot of times the people using the Ghost-types are creepier then the ghosts themselves, hell in Red/Blue/Green the maidens in Pokemon Tower are literally possessed by the Pokemon they're using! Really makes one wonder why you'd go about using these types doesn't it? Also makes one further question that old 'there's no such thing as a bad Pokemon' shtick they love to cling to so much!

When it came to this decision though I had a lot to go off of, have spanned many games and numerous designs I found it hard to stick to just one. To be honest I wanted to go with either Agitha or Morty as they're the original Elite/Gym leaders representing those types and while I really wanted to use them I just felt they didn't give the right vibe that I wanted. So I sat down and thought "What human characters in Pokemon have a good design and are inexplicably creepy as fuck..?" and then I recalled the infamous ghost girl of Lumiose!

If you're not familiar with this, I apologize but honestly by now it's become so well known I'd be surprised if you didn't. It's reached that level of eerie infamy that I'd be kicking myself if I didn't include her somehow. It works out too as the 'Hex Maniac' design is probably my favorite of all Ghost-type user looks, they're just so spoopy and again, this whole thing needs to addressed because really... what the fuck was that!? To my knowledge it's never explained or expounded upon further, just some random bit of creepy insanity that the programmers felt to put into the game. Who is she? What is she? Why are we not the one? And should we be happy or sad about that? The world may never know...
