#5: Arthur - Ghouls 'n Ghosts/Ghosts 'n Goblins

To say that I've been waiting for the Final Five for this countdown is an understatement. I was really excited for this year's countdown. In some pictures I feel I really outdid myself and was expecting this to be my best year ever... however sadly, as time became tighter and indecision hit me for submissions I feel the quality dropped severely...

But as always, the Final 5 is the creme de la creme of my countdowns and really what you wait for. This being said, some of my all time favorite and best heroes of the darkside made it here. If I could I'd put them all in equal placing, but sadly I can't.

So coming in for the 5th place it's Arthur. Now, I didn't just put him in because he's from such a well known horror title. No, I'm actually one of the rare masochistic bastards who actually ENJOYS playing Ghouls'n'Ghosts! Maybe it's a since of pride, seeing how far I can go before I lose my sanity, and I'm proud to say I'm fairly good at the games (by that I mean I can go longer then 10 seconds without dying)

However, due to HOW difficult the games are and how easily poor Arthur gets taken down, I placed him as the "lowest" in the top tier, but he still has much of my respect if anything for not being afraid to jump into the mouth of Hell to fight for his love... while wearing heart boxers!~
