Basilia can to rule this land because her father wanted peace with the previous Alphas so he offered his daughter as a mate to their son. Basilia despised the male but had no choice in the matter. Magpie's thirst for blood led her to kill the Alphas but after killing the male in a brutal battle she found herself bewitched by Basilia's beauty and the two became mates. The two blood thirsty females rule their kingdom side-by-side rasing their most recent litters together, from which they will choose a heir to inherit all their land and power.
