Description
This is a very personal piece that took me about year, with long break periods, to complete. This inspiration came to me from Woodkid’s song of the same title.
The idea of reaching beyond gravity, beyond time and space for something that may or may not even be real. We start building this beautiful image in our minds of the thing we will never touch. It might be love, enlightenment, peace of mind, knowledge, mastery, money or maybe we don’t know but we think its out there either way. The object of man’s desire is so beautiful to him, but intangible, no matter how close we get. He continues to reach for it, regardless the victories he achieves and the other beautiful moments he sees along the way. They will never be good enough. Kind of tragic but it’s also what keeps us moving and expanding our reach.
