Side note, how does one background? Hell if I know. Anyway, I doubt anyone really follows Avatar: Unsung Heroes, but if you do I changed Ellire's name to Eithne since I developed my other OC Ellire more.

The backgroung is fine. What you need is something in between - those thick black braches in the middle - those should not be visible as they are. Add some bushes here and there where the forest meets the ground and/or add some grass/dirt - right now it looks like they're levitating above water.
