She remembered… falling. Or floating. She wasn’t entirely sure which, but she supposed it didn’t matter. She wasn’t sure how she got there, either. Or what she’d been doing before then. Or… her own name…? It seemed the further she fell, assuming she was descending at all, the less she could remember about who she was. Finally all she found herself capable of conceiving was darkness. But it wasn’t a scary, suffocating darkness, like what one might expect. Rather, there was something oddly comforting about the blackness that stretched out in every direction around her.
