Excerpts straight from my sketchbook with some color slapped over them because I was too lazy to redraw things nicer to share them :V
Okay so basically what happened here was I explained the whole gemlings thing to a confused Scottie and the result...

1) VERY old sketch of Tiger's Eye and Moldavite's fusion, Lodestone (it was rather smeared in the book, I'm surprised you can make it out at all!). Doesn't have any extra limbs or anything, I kind of wanted to redesign it bc this was drawn a ways before I even watched SU, but w/e this is fine.

The running joke is that Lodestone doesn't have a fusion dance before they're formed. Scottie and I frequently will say the same things at the same time and yell out TWINS~ so we decided that whenever Moldy and Tiger have a moment like that they instantly clatter together and fuse, like two lodestone magnets doing the thing when you throw them into the air together. Consequently, the second they unfuse (which tends to happen rather quickly, being best friends with polar opposite personalities), they're both violently hurled at opposite ends of the room like repelling magnets

2) SO I GUESS WE KNOW WHO THE MOM IS NOW? Or dad, rather. Just like their fusion forming, Little Tiger and Little Moldavite were complete accidents. But don't tell the gemlings that. They're sensitive.

3) Lil Tiger and Moldavite :V In an astonishing turn of events Little Moldy is considerably more cheerful than his father.

4-5) Eventually gemlings are supposed to fuse into a new gem, right? Well, that's the general idea anyway. But for some reason instead Little Tiger and Little Moldavite fused into... you guessed it... TWO little lodestones! Scottie and I decided to call them Maggie and Lode. Maggie's quiet and moody like her dad but ain't scared of no thing, whereas Lode can't sit still and is constantly giggling. Their outfits were designed by Willow (she did the PS drawing over the pencil sketch).

6) Maggie and Lode frequently have spontaneous collision fusions just like their parents. The difference being, they already ARE a fusion, and can't actually fuse into one. So it's actually not a fun experience so much as it is funny to watch. They're also conveniently magnetic, so like, time outs involve sticking them up on the fridge.
