I just started doodling and this wolf came out. Then I decided to ink it, color it, and shade it.That's really the only story I have behind this.
I just got bored. Isn't really a step by step process or anything, just that I wanted to juxtapose the different stages.Artwork©Melissa vdP 2010

I love it when artists show the step-by-step process.
I usually avoid using dark colors myself, but you seem to have worked out the kinks. The shading looks very nice. It looks like the wolf is standing in the moonlight.
